I can see the sea of clouds today
If it is good
If i start from Sounkyo Onsen to 5th station and eventually to 7th station via chair lift, do i get to see anything if i dont hike? What would be the recommended itinerary if we r not able to hike due to old folks and toddler is with us?
Yes, the scenery is still worth it even if you do not do the hike. There's a short forest walk at the end of the chairlift as an alternative for those that do not intend to hike up kurodake.

What can beat going into the clouds like this! The cable car will take you to the higher station where you can reach the summit by another chairlift. Views are absolutely spectacular well worth taking the ride.

This is my 2nd time to be here. I love this place, quiet with snow... last time go with tourism group and this time is drive by myself. Japan people are very hard working to maintain this place. Not so many people here and not easy to keep here... the scenery here is good, especially the time when cart moving between 2 stations...at the top of the station, there is some place to go... it’s a good place to be there.

Honestly, it wasn't as spectacular and I thought it should be. Perhaps I visited wrongly on the last day of September, and koyo at the summit was not the best. Instead the lower level have better colours.

Nice place! This place have not many slopes, but this place have powder snow! And I think the place is nice for winter hiking too.
